Legal Policy Development
ISEJ conducts research and analysis to develop evidence-based legal policies that advance social justice and safeguard the rights of survivors of sexual violence offences and marginalised and rural communities. We collaborate closely with community-based organisations (CBOs) and grassroots movements to identify gaps in the legal framework and advocate for essential reforms.
Capacity Building and training
ISEJ offers training, workshops, and mentorship programs to enhance the capacity of community-based organizations (CBOs) and grassroots movements in legal literacy, strategic advocacy, and community organizing. Our goal is to empower local organizations to effectively engage with the legal system and navigate legal processes.
Research
and Analysis
ISEJ conducts in-depth research on legal issues impacting sexual violence survivors, marginalised communities, lived realities studies, and policy briefs. Our research provides vital insights and recommendations that inform evidence-based advocacy and influence decision-makers at local, national, and international levels.
Collaboration and Networking
ISEJ aims to foster collaboration and networking among community-based organisations (CBOs), grassroots movements, legal research experts, criminal justice officers, and other stakeholders committed to social justice and human rights. We facilitate information sharing, partnership, and collective action to amplify the voices of survivors of sexual violence and rural and marginalised communities.
